Undilah : A PSA Project by Pete Teo

110916a

Undilah is a PSA Project by Pete Teo that is launched in conjunction with Malaysia Day on 16 September. Undilah seeks to educate and call for Malaysian citizens to register as voters.

The right to vote is the fundamental basis of your citizenship. It is also how we as citizens can determine the social, political and economic directions of Malaysia. So it is an important duty that has ramifications beyond our lifetimes and one that you must take seriously on behalf of not just yourself but your children and theirs.” – Pete Teo

DiGi Dear Malaysians: Official Video

An poignant exploration into the power of apologies and forgiveness.

The "Dear Malaysians" campaign was created to help Malaysians say "I'm sorry" and seek forgiveness from one another during the festive season. Hopefully, it'll teach us how to brighten someone's day, one apology at a time.

Bowls4Humanity : A Bernas CSR Project to feed orphans nationwide

110729a

The Bowls for Humanity campaign is a CSR (corporate social responsibility) initiative recently launched by Padiberas Nasional Berhad (BERNAS) to feed orphans across 150 selected orphanages through out the country.

The campaign will see BERNAS donating 25 grams of rice for every 10kg of BERNAS (and participating brands) rice purchased nationwide. The rice packs will be marked by a “Bowls for Humanity” sticker to highlight to the consumer that they are not only buying rice but also contributing to the noble campaign.

So the next time you’re out of rice, please do look out for the special rice packs and help feed the orphans of Malaysia.

Popular timepiece maker Bell & Ross is one of the pioneers that realized the potential of the internet and were one of the few brands that launched their web presence in the early days of the internet. This together with great watches is one of the reasons for their huge following.

They recently moved to a new headquarters and have now launched a brand new website. The new website does an excellent job in showcasing the brands collection with click and drag navigation that will work well for tablet users as well.

Rome: 3 Dreams of Black - a google chrome experimental film

110514a

This is an interactive music video for a song called 3 Dreams of Black which is featured on the album Rome. Rome is a music collaboration between Danger Mouse, Daniele Lippi, Jack White and Norah Jones.

Rome: 3 Dreams of Black was created by Chris Milk and the guys at Google Creative Labs using WebGL, a context of HTML5 that enables hardware accelerated browser based 3D graphics without a plug-in.

One of the best creative use of WebGL that I have seen.

Ikea Hackers Unite!

110506a

Found this site while searching for ideas on how to make some changes to my Ikea shelf. Who would have thought there is a site dedicated to modifications of Ikea furniture or as they called it hacks, hence the name Ikea Hackers.

Now I’m off to perform a little hack on that Ikea shelf of mine.
